Fromental

Founded in 2005 by Tim Butcher and Lizzie Deshayes, Fromental is a British wallcovering house dedicated to the art of hand-painted and hand-embroidered silk. Every design begins as a hand-drawn miniature illustration at the London studio, then travels to skilled artisans across studios in London and China, where each panel is painted, embroidered, and finished entirely by hand — a process that can take weeks per room.

From classic chinoiserie birds and botanicals to bold, contemporary compositions, Fromental draws on a deep knowledge of design history while pushing the craft forward. The result is wallcovering that feels less like paper and more like a couture textile for the wall.
