Through the centuries, flame stitch–in its various shapes, scales and colours–has been expressed in many mediums, from embroidery to needlepoint. It has always injected a flamboyant and dynamic visual punch to an interior. We have reinterpreted this fabric, a joyful renaissance favourite, as a vibrant and modern wallcovering, using hundreds of brushstrokes to mimic the individual stitches. These are then rendered in print on our cartridge paper.

How many rolls do I need?

Rolls are 52.0 cm wide and 10.0 m long. The pattern repeats every 83.5 cm on a straight match, so some length is lost matching each drop — this is counted below.

Measure each wall at its widest and the room at its tallest point. Do not deduct doors or windows — those drops still have to match the pattern.

Fromental

Luxury is often measured by rarity. Fromental measures it by craftsmanship.

Fromental creates handcrafted wallcoverings for those who see their home as an expression of art, culture, and enduring craftsmanship. Every piece is hand-painted or hand-embroidered by skilled artisans, transforming silk into richly detailed compositions that reward attention from every distance.

Rather than following trends, Fromental creates interiors with lasting presence. Inspired by the decorative arts and tailored to each project, its wallcoverings bring together artistry, refinement, and a sense of permanence that only true craftsmanship can offer.
